The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Equipment & Tool Design Technician - Additive Manufacturing and Prototyping in Tukwila, WA .

In this role you will oversee the full production and post-processing workflow for additive-manufactured parts. Responsibilities include providing technical support for engineering changes, investigating and developing basic-to-moderately complex tooling and equipment concepts, creating and revising drawings and models to support build plans, and participating in design reviews. Using a mix of additive and conventional fabrication methods, you will perform self-checks of design for compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic, and regulatory standards, maintain hardware and software configurations, and contribute to user training development.

Your contributions will be vital in ensuring efficient and high-quality additive manufacturing processes for aerospace products.

Position Responsibilities Include:

Design & fabrication of additive manufactured proto@types and developmental parts, from initial concept to final product

Operate a variety of additive manufacturing equipment. SLS, SLA, Polyjet, FDM & DMLS

Create operation and quality documents for multiple AM processes

Use of hand and manual machine tools to finish AM parts

Creating build files using applicable software, machine prep, material selection, cleaning parts, and final assembly including use of adhesives and finishes

Customer coordination regarding process and design for AM

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

1+ years of experience using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software

1+ years of experience in additive manufacturing

1+ years of experience using hand tools and/or hand-held power tools

1+ years of design experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Associate degree, technical certificate or degree, or 2 or more years of equivalent experience

Experience using precisions measuring equipment

Spray painting models and assemblies

Ability to learn and support in fast paced R&D environments

Ability to collaborate with both our team and our customers

Focus on customer needs and ability to work directly with customers towards goals

Pay & Benefits:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $56,950 - $77,050
