Description

We are looking for an experienced AP Accountant in Lebanon, Ohio, on a Contract-to-Permanent basis. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts payable processes, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to budgeting efforts and oversee grant expenditure tracking while advancing your career in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

Process and code invoices efficiently to ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors.

Perform regular bank reconciliations to verify the alignment of financial transactions with company records.

Maintain and update financial statements to support organizational decision-making.

Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

Support the budgeting process by providing detailed financial insights and analysis.

Track and monitor grant expenditures to ensure compliance with funding requirements and proper allocation.

Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounts payable workflows.

Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures while maintaining records.

Identify and resolve discrepancies within accounts payable and general ledger systems.

Provide assistance with compliance reporting and audits as needed.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting roles, with a focus on accounts payable.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions.

Familiarity with general ledger and journal entry processes.

Experience with bank reconciliations and accounts receivable.

Knowledge of grant expenditure tracking and compliance requirements.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
