SALARY RANGE: $16 - $18/hr PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT Compiles and maintains records of business transactions and office activities. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Answers incoming telephone calls, ascertains nature of call and directs caller to appropriate person or department. Receives and records payments from customers. Opens and routes incoming mail, answers correspondence, and prepares outgoing mail. Greets and assists customers. Copies data and compiles records and reports. Tabulates and posts data in record books. Prepares, issues, and sends out receipts, bills, policies, invoices, statements, and checks. Operates computer terminal to input and retrieve data. Operates office machines such as computer, adding, calculating, and duplicating machines. Purchases office supplies as needed for the office. Attends required meetings as requested. Successfully adhere to safety rules and company policies and procedures. * All other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
