About AIG
American International Group, Inc. (AIG) is a leading global insurance organization. AIG member companies provide a wide range of property casualty insurance in approximately 70 countries and jurisdictions. These diverse offerings include products and services that help businesses and individuals protect their assets and manage risks.
We're also committed to making a positive difference for our colleagues and in the communities where we work and live. We encourage colleagues to give back to the causes they care most about, supporting these efforts through our Volunteer Time Off and Matching Grants Programs.
About the Program
AIG is seeking Skillbridge eligible Service Members to join our cyber-defense team in our Charlotte office. At AIG, we value in-person collaboration as a vital part of our culture, which is why we ask our team members to be primarily in the office. The cyber-defence team is responsible for a range of threat discovery and incident response duties:
Leverage aggregated cyber threat intelligence, log, network flow, and anomaly data for analysis, research and the identification of potential compromise within AIG's infrastructure or applications.
Perform root cause analysis to identify gaps and provide technical and procedural recommendations that will reduce AIG's exposure to cyber-risks.
Prioritize incoming requests to minimize risk exposure and ensure the timely completion of critical tasks and the escalation of time-sensitive issues.
Create detailed incident and analysis reports and provide concise summaries for management.
The successful candidate will train and work as part of a team that conducts investigations into potential and actual cyber-attacks affecting AIG's global business units, lines of business, or information technology infrastructure. The teams follow a kill chain-aligned operational model, giving the candidate exposure to all elements of an attack lifecycle.
First Placement - We believe Service Members can step into any situation and add value quickly. Program participants are relationship driven, show a bias for action, and demonstrate integrity and good judgment. The first 90-days for SkillBridge participants provide this opportunity by placing the candidate in a role that will give them the chance to get-up-to-speed while assessing their ability to learn and influence.
Rotations - SkillBridge participants may have the opportunity to rotate into a second role after completing 90-days in their first placement, depending on business need and participate interest. Support is provided to help participants consider the rotation option, surface opportunities, connect with hiring managers, and transition successfully.
Talent Review and Permanent Placement - The program is guided by a Steering Committee comprised of an Executive Sponsor, a Senior Leader in the host-function, and the Global Head of Talent and Inclusion. These leaders regularly review participant performance and advancement, ensuring consistent growth and development opportunities are available. Successful participants will be considered for permanent placement at the conclusion of the program.
At AIG, we value in-person collaboration as a vital part of our culture, which is why we ask our team members to be primarily in the office. This approach helps us work together effectively and create a supportive, connected environment for our team and clients alike.
