fairlife, LLC is a Chicago-based nutrition company that creates great-tasting, nutrition-rich and dairy products to nourish consumers.With over $3B in annual retail sales, fairlife's portfolio of delicious, lactose-free, real dairy products includes: fairlife ultra-filtered milk; Core Power High Protein Shakes, a sports nutrition drink to support post-workout recovery; fairlife nutrition plan, a nutrition shake to support the journey to better health.A wholly owned subsidiary of The Coca-Cola company, fairlife, LLC has been recognized by both Fast Company and Nielsen for its industry leading innovation.To learn more about fairlife and its complete line of products, please visit fairlife.com.job purpose:The purpose of this role is to assist in building a capable and scalable process technology organization to relentlessly drive, through exceptional engineering, the competitive technical advantage of fairlife manufacturing to provide the best tasting, most nutritious products at lowest cost and highest barrier to entry for competitors.This role works cross functionally with commercial, manufacturing, engineering, IT, quality, and R&D, and other functions within fairlife.responsibilities:- Creating a safety and quality culture required for a world class organization.- Defining the objectives of capacity expansion projects and overseeing total process design from milk receiving to product on a pallet- Assisting in the developing and commercializing of new technologies and processes to improve quality, efficiency, and speed to market- New line/plant design basis (mass balance, sku mix, process flow diagram, PID's)- Review new and existing line/plant designs to reduce food safety risk and improve the overall efficiency and cost of operations.- Support the review and updating of functional specifications related to new processing equipment.- Ensure best practices, design principles, standards are incorporated, and support design reviews with suitable stakeholders for input/guidance/leverage group experience.- Continuously develop milk production process monitoring and situational awareness systems that enhance efficiency and reduce losses and total cost of ownership. Examples include design for extended run time, faster CIP turnaround, prediction of next CIP, energy recovery, water re-use, chemical re-use etc.- Solving complex process problems following escalation from plants; managing the process of escalation with plants to ensure timely resolution- Continuously develop process monitoring and situational awareness systems that enhance efficiency and reduce losses. Examples include design for extended run time, faster CIP turnaround, prediction of next CIP, energy recovery, water re-use, chemical re-use etc.- Define and maintain design standards, mass balance and scheduling tools etc. to improve the accuracy and efficiency of design.- Assure plant compliance with Federal, State and Corporate environmental laws, rules & regulations.- Assure that the process complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, PMO, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.- Effectively collaborate and coordinate with Project Engineering to ensure work is performed on time and within budget.- Key role in supporting the organization for the commercialization of new products.- Key decision maker in equipment vendor selection and contract negotiationskills/qualifications required:- Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering- Supply Chain Management expertise in CPG.- 7+ years in the dairy or beverage industry.- Ability to develop mass balance calculations and develop Process Flow Diagrams- Self-starter; take charge, positive & proactive attitude.- Ability to communicate clearly within the organization and externally.- Demonstrable teamwork and maturity with a strong work ethic.- Experience in Pr
