What the day to day responsibilities in addition to the migration to Lenel?
Sales support, estimating project IT hours and writing scopes of work, customer training for commissioned systems. Actively working on assigned projects and escalated service tickets.
What is the technical environment, what networking technologies exist that this role will interface with ?
Lenel, Amag, Avigilon, Milestone, SQL Server, Windows, domains, networks.
Since this is a Hybrid role most of the migration efforts will have to be done onsite so when remote what are the daily tasks?
Migration does not need to be done onsite. Most tasks are handled remotely, but they will be required to be at the HQ office a couple days a week. I'm flexible on this depending on the strength of the candidate.
What is the breakdown of the process to migrate from your existing Access Control systems to Lenel, we are getting a lot around this as the candidates we are speaking to are suggesting that an actual Access Control engineer would do this not so much of a Network Engineer?
I'm not looking for a Network Engineer. Yes, you must be an SME in access control and VMS systems.
How many devices are their in need of getting migrated to? And once this is done what are the next projects and or daily tasks needed to be handled?
Below are the essential duties of the Senior IT Engineer according to our internal JD.
Essential Functions:
Ensures that regular and consistent communication takes place with both internal and external customers; acknowledges and addresses requests received via phone, email or company systems daily.
Manages own time and resources to achieve identified objectives; is diligent in meeting all communicated/defined deadlines. Monitors and updates tickets/tasks/activities assigned to them in company CRM.
Manages customer relationships and serves as a primary point of contact when there are escalated technical issues that need to be addressed. Supports both install technicians as well as service technicians in obtaining a timely resolution.
Completes accurate and profitable estimates as needed; drafts well written scopes of work that are presented to the customer and are able to be translated into a project plan when awarded.
Partners with Project Managers, Account Executives and/or Department Managers when needed for estimating direction. Supports and assists team in bid presentations to customers to support sales success.
Builds and develops relationships with key vendors, contractors, and consultants. Works closely with MFG support resources managing support cases to enable fast resolution that exceeds our customer's expectations.
Manages their assigned project/service tickets ensuring they are kept updated and relevant; providing detailed information on the status of their work/project for access by Division/Department members.
Responsible for investigating user problems, identifying the source, determines possible solutions, testing and implementing solutions
Leads and assists with the identification, development, and testing of new product/software solutions that can/may be used in the organization to improve IT solutions for our external customers. Keeps management informed on status and development of issues that may impact the company and/or enhance system performance of its users.
Documents any system configurations, system updates, as well as any new procedures/policies created by their work; documentation may/can be provided to external customers. Accurate and relevant documentation may be used by other IT Staff members or personnel to see changes/creations that have been made to the systems.
Keeps abreast of industry/MFG IT trends to be able to provide/present applicable solutions.
Punctuality and regular attendance
We are looking for someone to help migrate access control systems to product Lenel to support the expansion into the Healthcare Industry.
This candidate must have 5+ years' experience in programming video management systems (i.e. Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon, etc.). Additionally,
It would be helpful if this person was able to design VLan networks. SQL Querries, Database Schema's and support Firewalls.
This role will be expected to assist with the configuration/setup/deploy of new devices to local Healthcare clients which will require travel.
Pre & Post Sales support will be required as needed to ensure the end client's systems/devices are working correctly.

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
