CACI is currently looking for a motivated, career and customer-oriented Biometric Subject Matter Expert (SME) with Agile methodology experience to join our Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Land Border Integration (LBI) Integrated Traveler Initiative 2.1 (ITI2.1) team in Northern Virginia! Join this passionate team of industry-leading individuals supporting the best practices in Agile Software Development and hardware integration for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

CBP Officers and Border Patrol agents are on the front lines, every day, protecting our national security by combining customs, immigration, border security, and agricultural protection into one coordinated and supportive activity.

What you'll get to do:
The Biometric SME is responsible for setting the standard for excellence in facial biometric capture and matching. The position will be supporting the various border security efforts of CBP and will include biometrics in all travel entry and exit modalities. These include Air, land, and sea on entry and exit, along with vehicle entry and exit.
Provide thought leadership and innovative solution design addressing all aspects of facial biometrics.
Perform full system analysis from technical implementation to business process management.
Design and develop plans for multiple solution offerings with long term vision or system enhancement, consolidation, and integration
Provide technical leadership in terms of delivery, release prioritization, and O&M for multiple systems
Provide technical input and solution design for proposals and contract modifications
Ability to architect new biometric solutions while leveraging leading edge technologies to be at the forefront of thought leadership in the field
Support engineering development projects (e.g., Hardware, Software, Agile development)
Serve as a technical interface with the client, related to developing biometric program solutions
Provide strategic technical direction to the client
Create presentations on biometric performance and present to client Sr. Leadership
Use thought leadership and understand the client's future to design and architect solutions using leading edge technologies.
Expertise with face biometrics
Experience with Agile methodologies, architectural methods, component-based development, and integration of COTS components.
Assists in the developing and maintaining documented IT biometric Policies, Processes and Standards
Conduct Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) against multiple biometric technologies and provide expert recommendations for selecting technology, along with developing and delivering technical documentation proving the outcome of the analysis.
You have:
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass CBP background investigation, criteria includes, but not limited to:
3-year check for felony convictions
1-year check for illegal drug use
1-year check for misconduct such as theft or fraud
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline and 10 years of Information Technology (IT) experience.
Knowledge of biometric concept, standard, and algorithms for multiple modalities, with a strong focus on facial recognition.
Expert experience level of biometric performance evaluation and testing, biometrics and image quality analysis, and camera system.
Experience with facial biometric, face detection, image processing toolsets
Essential knowledge of statistical analysis and interpreting performance metrics
Experience with research, including developing, designing, and executing research plans.
Ability to generate scientific data from various datasets and generate custom analysis reports
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
5 or more years of experience in the following areas:
Biometric concepts and algorithms design and development
Applying computer vision or machine learning algorithms and libraries for image/video analysis
IEEE Certified Biometric Professional (IEEE - CBP) preferred
Must be available to work a hybrid schedule with an on-site requirement in Sterling, VA

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$131,800 - $290,000
