The goal of the Search and News Ads (SNA) Finance group is to provide key insights that will help Microsoft make better financial and business decisions. We are responsible for delivering advertising that empowers our users by bringing them closer to the people and information that matter most to them. Our team is responsible for leading the forecast and budget processes across SNA and ensuring forecast accuracy and predictability. We collaborate with Finance leaders, Engineering groups, Sales and Marketing teams, as well as the Central Finance Team & Investor Relations.
Finance managers on our team help us transform the way we measure business performance, manage resources, and lead financial activities using business intelligence, modeling, and analytics. As Senior Finance Manager, Advertising AI (artificial intelligence), you will have a unique opportunity to use your insights and strategic thinking to partner with leaders on financial analysis, financial decisions and investments, and process transformation projects.
We are looking for Finance professionals with adept modeling and analytical skills, an executive presence, ability to dive into the details and understand the key drivers, and effectively communicate results and drivers to business partners, including executives. Additionally, they exhibit curiosity, fast learnings, and have a passion for understanding the models and drivers in our Consumer business and products.

Responsibilities
Prioritize
Develop and maintainfinancial models for performance tracking to inform near-term outlooks and influence future projections and forecasts.
During financial close periods, prepare recurring financial reports and presentations, highlighting the drivers for variances to outlook, budget, and forecast.
Conduct analysis and research studies of financial plans, acquisition activity, and future opportunities/deals.
Engage in ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.
Partnership
Acts as the Finance contact for partners, addressing questions on revenue, expenses, and compliance.
Learns and applies Microsoft Finance fundamentals (e.g., financial systems, policies, key metrics, historical performance, reporting, and forecast requirements) and business aspects (e.g., monetization strategy, market, profitability drivers) to gather information, perform analysis, and complete standardized reporting.
Communicates recurring and ad-hoc results in a logical and understandable message.?
Protect
Ensures compliance with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements by reviewing and monitoring financial documents and business processes.
Drives corrective measures and supports questions regarding documentation, policy adherence, and requirements.
Recommends approved instruments and processes, stays updated on all company policies and procedures, and informs others.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
OR equivalent experience.
2+ years of financial or data modeling experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience
OR equivalent experience.
1+ year(s) experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.
1+ year(s) work experience in matrix-based organization.
1+ year(s) work experience in the technology or software industry.
Adept analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
Communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
