Responsibilities:
GENERAL SUMMARY
With limited direction, assists the Department Coordinator IV (Testing Coordinator) in the coordination of test proctoring services and note taking services offered by the Office of Disability Resources. The provision and execution of academic accommodations is required for compliance under the Americans with Disabilities Act as Amended. Position requires frontline professional interaction and communication with faculty members, students, and staff across all schools of the University.
This is a full-time, regular, position with a standard work schedule of 10 calendar months consistent with the academic school year.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assists Office of Disability Resources Department Coordinator IV (Testing Coordinator) in the coordination of individual exam sessions with instructors, staff, and students via an online system, including setup and confirmation.
Responds to student and professor emails, helping to ensure the provision of individualized test accommodations.
Maintains the day-to-day schedule of exams.
Records the receipt and pick-up of exams.
Maintains records of exam administrations.
Assists with examination and student crises, maintaining confidentiality regarding student interactions and records.
Helps to ensure the academic integrity of all administered examinations.
Assists Office of Disability Resources Department Coordinator IV (Testing Coordinator) in the maintenance of the day-to-day schedule of exams.
Records the receipt and pick-up of exams. Maintains records of exam administrations.
Assists with examination and student crises, maintaining confidentiality regarding student interactions and records.
Helps to ensure the academic integrity of all administered examinations.
Assists Office of Disability Resources Department Coordinator IV (Testing Coordinator) to ensure the quality and timely delivery of notes as an accommodation.
Serves as a Test Assistant, as needed.
Checks students' UR identification cards prior to administering exams.
Administers exams according to the instructor's specifications.
Ensures that each student only brings approved materials into the exam environment and that each student completes the exam in the allotted time.
Monitors to ensure a secure testing environment.
Assists in the distribution and collection of all test materials.
Enters the necessary information for every case form administered, both on paper and in the provided Excel tracking document, bringing report any suspected irregular behavior, or violation of academic honesty, to the Department Coordinator IV's attention, contacting professors/TAs in the event of a student question.
Provides front desk coverage for the department, as needed.
