Expected salary range of $76,500 to $85,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Technical Project Manager reviews all HVAC and Boiler jobs to determine the correct equipment and material needs. They review drawings, measurements, and pictures to order necessary equipment and material for the installation. The role requires advanced knowledge of installation techniques and manufacturer specifications to provide proper equipment and material for an installation. Additionally, the candidate must have an advanced understanding of local codes and ductwork design. The Technical Project Manager creates daily work schedules and assigns installation crews to jobs, serving as an alternate for the Senior Technical Project Manager.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Review drawings, measurements, and pictures to order necessary equipment and material.
Create daily work schedules and assign installation crews to jobs.
Create spreadsheets as needed to monitor installation data.
Provide administrative support as business needs require.
Attend manufacturers' schools on new equipment and techniques in service and installation.
Serve as the on-call Workload Planning Manager on a rotational schedule.
Act as a backup to the Senior Technical Project Manager, assuming responsibilities as needed.
Act as a backup to the Senior Administrative Assistant in charge of scheduling installations through phone and email as needed.
Support the Scheduler and Daily Router to strategize for financial success.
Collaborate with the Senior Administrative Scheduler to maintain internal Microsoft Excel workbooks used for tracking and scheduling.
Review incoming HVAC and Boiler jobs and perform equipment check emails, ensuring safety, providing manpower, directing subcontractors, and managing project duration and purchase orders.
Understand HVAC installation practices to ensure proposed equipment is sized properly and fits in the provided space.
Follow up with Sales and Procurement departments on all equipment changes and request change orders as needed.
Act as a liaison for the Sales team to handle misinformation.
Manage change orders, including editing job packets and ordering materials.
Pre-order specific non-stock or special request items needed for installation through procurement.
Monitor shared mailboxes for HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing, and collaborate with other Technical Project Managers on resolutions.
Monitor the I.A.Q. daily schedule and smart list for correct dates in GP.
Collaborate to manage various files and schedules on the Microsoft Teams platform.
Participate in the internal Cisco Phone line for in-home scheduling communication with our sales team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced knowledge and demonstrated ability to resolve complex issues and problems relating to the performance/installation of heating/cooling equipment.
Advanced knowledge of installation techniques and manufacturer specifications to provide equipment and material for an installation.
Advanced knowledge of tools and materials, with the ability to recommend procedure changes to meet special needs and adapt to changes in the industry.
Advanced knowledge of code requirements in all jurisdictions.
Proven experience in HVAC project management.
Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments and stakeholders.
Proficiency in using project management software and tools.
Proficient with Microsoft Suite.
