Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Lexington-Fayette, Kentucky. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to contribute to our financial operations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing payment processes and ensuring accurate financial documentation.

Responsibilities:

Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Maintain detailed and organized records of accounts payable transactions.

Monitor payment schedules to meet deadlines and avoid late fees.

Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and clarify invoice details.

Utilize Microsoft Excel to prepare reports and analyze financial data.

Assist in reconciling accounts and preparing month-end closing procedures.

Communicate effectively with vendors to address payment inquiries and resolve issues.

Support the team in implementing improvements to accounts payable processes.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls. Requirements - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and analyze spreadsheets.

Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar role.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Excellent communication skills to interact with vendors and internal teams.

Familiarity with accounting principles and financial regulations.

Experience with accounting software or ERP systems is a plus.

High school diploma or equivalent; advanced education in finance or accounting is preferred.
