Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Buda, Texas. This role is integral to maintaining the efficiency of our financial operations by managing vendor invoices, ensuring accurate records, and supporting the broader accounting team. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities:

Process, verify, and record vendor invoices for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and timely input into the accounts payable system.

Conduct monthly reviews of customer statements to confirm their accuracy against posted invoices.

Maintain organized records by copying, filing, and retrieving accounts payable documents as needed.

Perform monthly reconciliations for bank accounts and credit cards to ensure financial data integrity.

Assist in the completion of month-end and year-end accounting closings, adhering to established deadlines.

Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and ensure compliance with company policies.

Utilize accounting software and tools to streamline accounts payable processes and improve efficiency.

Provide support for audits and financial reviews by preparing relevant documentation and reports. Requirements - At least 5 years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.

Familiarity with accounting software, preferably CMiC or similar enterprise-level platforms.

Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Ability to perform account reconciliations accurately and efficiently.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.

Effective communication skills and the ability to interact successfully with vendors and colleagues.

Proactive approach to anticipating work needs and resolving issues.
