POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Production Scheduler plans and prepares the production schedule for all departments in the door shop and/or pre-finish shop. This position will also be responsible for entering orders into the system and reviewing submitted orders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and organized with excellent planning, data entry, and communication skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a full-time position. Normal days of work are Mondays through Fridays. Shift availability may vary. Hours may need to be extended or adjusted at any time, with or without notice, to meet the needs of the organization.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Correctly read work orders and enter information into specific fields in the computer systerm.
Coordinate sources of supply to obtain special order material for work orders.
Work with the Operations Manager and Production Leadership to schedule released work orders according to capacity and manpower.
Keep management informed by reviewing and analyzing daily and monthly reports, summarizing information, identifying trends, and initiating corrective action.
Work as a liaison for the Production departments, including Door Shop and Pre-Finish, by communicating operational issues to the sales team.
Review printed work orders from BisTrack to ensure accuracy and work with the sales team to make appropriate changes as needed.
Organize and distribute work orders to the correct personnel.
Assist door or pre-finish shop as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Knowledge base in building materials is preferred; specific knowledge of doors preferred.
Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form with a high attention to detail.
Proven proficiency in the use of a computer accompanied by a strong aptitude for technical applications.
Reasoned decision-making, problem resolution, and creative thinking skills with demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.
Ability to re-prioritize as necessary throughout the day with minimal supervision and effectively communicate changes to the team.
Strong communication skills. Comfortable engaging and leading individual and team discussions and meetings. Ability to articulate direction and expectations to teammates in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to five years of related experience and/or training; or any combination of education, training, or experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Physical demands:
Regularly use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
Occasionally required to lift/move/manipulate up to 40 pounds.
Regularly required to see, talk, and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
Work environment:
This position operates in a professional office environment.
This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.
The noise level in the work environment is generally quiet.
