Mitsubishi Chemical Carbon Fiber and Composites (MCCFC) is composed of several companies, but at its core there are two. In April 2013, two California Companies, Grafil, a carbon fiber manufacturer in Sacramento and Newport Adhesives and Composites, a prepreg manufacturer in Irvine, were merged to create Mitsubishi Rayon Carbon Fiber and Composites (MRCFAC); then in 2017, we re-branded to MCCFC. Since our merge, we have made multiple acquisitions within the United States. In addition to these acquisitions, we have continued to improve and expand our current facility's capabilities. We are a company with a dedicated focus on responsiveness, quality, and customer support, we are working hard to match the growing global and domestic demand for these advanced materials.
Job Purpose
Supervises Warehouse operations. Responsible for the accurate inventory of all incoming and outgoing products and shipments including unpackaged products from production, finished goods from other MCCFC sites, raw materials, and inventory or supply items. Maximize efficiency and incorporate the best supply chain practices to minimize risk to the business. Additionally, assists in hiring, training, and mentoring staff to ensure they follow safety protocols and use technology appropriately.
Principal Accountabilities
Supervises the Warehouse Operations. Implements and maintains processes and practices to ensure accurate and efficient inventory levels of product and inventory items in the company ERP system. Manages inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments, and stock levels.
Responsible for ensuring that all warehouse operations in the plant and warehouse meet all required Safety, Quality, and Environmental requirements. Issues and completes corrective actions (CAR) and management of change (MOC) projects in coordination with other departments to address deficiencies in meeting these requirements or new requirements.
Implements and maintains processes and practices to evaluate inventory levels and consumption rates of packaging items, raw materials, and consumables. In coordination with the production department, maintains minimum levels of critical items at the plant site.
Reports on inventory levels, supply chain progress, procedural efficiency, and personnel issues to management. Utilizes the company ERP system to prepare reports and analyze data.
Assesses the skill level of warehouse employees. Facilitates training, development, and maintaining training curriculum for warehouse employees. Implements and maintains an on-the-job (OTJ) training program for warehouse employees. Partners with Human Resources in the recruitment of new warehouse employees.
Evaluates deliveries, shipments, and product levels to improve inventory control procedures. Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve future supply and logistical conditions.
Manages schedules of employees, deliveries, and shipments to optimize operations.
Communicates with inventory employees to meet business goals and address personnel issues.
Promotes self as a team member and leads by example. Maintains strong relationships with other departments to facilitate smooth operations.
Exhibits exemplary conduct with other employees and contractors. Contributes to a healthy, positive, and safe environment.
May be assigned, and be expected to perform to acceptable standards, any other relevant related duties as required by management.
Knowledge / Skills / Experience
EDUCATION: Minimum required is High School diploma or GED or equivalent training or experience.
Work Experience: 5+ years of warehousing, distribution, inventory control experience. 2+ years of related supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Industry Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of warehousing and inventory control practices.
Familiar with California safety, environmental, and labor regulations preferred.
Ability to lead and supervise teams, form strategies and tactics to meet established goals.
Ability to organize and supervise concurrent processes with competing resources and priorities.
Able to operate a sit-down and stand-up forklift. Able to operate an aerial lift.
Able to lift, pull, push, and carry tools, materials, product, and carts.
Ability to operate office equipment including computers, phones, and printers.
Ability to use MS Office products and company ERP system. Knowledge of SAP a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including phone skills.
Pay Transparency (complete highlighted sections)
The salary range for this position is $84,000 - $103,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
