Maintenance Manager

[Position Overview:]{.underline}

The Maintenance Manager is self-motivated and works autonomously to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the organization's physical assets and processes, as well as the installation and upkeep of all building resources and equipment. The Maintenance Manager will oversee the maintenance, repair, and overall functionality of equipment, facilities and systems, including developing and implementing maintenance strategies, managing budgets, coordinating teams and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Previous experience and an understanding of manufacturing facilities maintenance is required.

Developing and implementing pro-active, predictive and corrective maintenance programs.

Able to identify potential issues and offer reasonable solutions to minimize downtime and cost with attention to detail.

Coordinate with other departments to address maintenance needs.

Overseeing maintenance schedules, repairs and installations of equipment and facilities.

Experience working with mechanical systems, tools and machines.

Manage maintenance budgets and monitor project expenses on a weekly /monthly basis depending on needs.

Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.

Communicate effectively with the CEO/Owner and staff.

Strong technical understanding of different aspects like plumbing, electrical wiring, and hydraulic systems.

Working knowledge in the field of electrical power and practical skills involving installation, maintenance and inspection of electrical systems including 480-volt components.

Able to troubleshoot and repair controls systems.

Familiarity in drafting and understanding blueprints and schematics.

Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.

Self-starter with ability to work well under deadlines.

[Essential Functions:]{.underline}

Must be able to work in a shop floor environment, able to sit, stand, balance, stoop, kneel, walk and use fingers to feel objects, tools and controls.

Occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds

Hours for position are dictated by the workload and at times require more than a typical 40-hour work week. *Overtime is paid when authorized.

Some travel may be required.

[Education/Experience:]{.underline}

Previous experience mechanical/electrical/hydraulic experience is necessary.

Bachelor's degree in facility management or related field preferred

Certification as construction electrician preferred.

[Compensation:]{.underline}

This is a full-time, performance-based position; wages are commensurate with skills and experience.

Medical, vision, dental, life insurance, short term disability, 401K and profit-sharing plans are available after completion of 60 days of employment.
