Our work depends on the Systems Administrator Senior joining our team to support the administration, maintenance and support of the organization's IT systems and infrastructure.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join a classified project. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing and maintaining complex systems in a secure environment, with a strong background in cybersecurity, cross-domain solutions, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
Responsibilities:
Administer and maintain classified IT systems, ensuring their security, reliability, and performance.
Configure cross-domain solutions (CDS) , ensuring compliance with strict security policies for data transfer between different security levels.
Implement and enforce cybersecurity protocols and best practices to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.
Support and maintain systems used for hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing , ensuring test environments are configured correctly and running smoothly.
Work within an agile development environment , collaborating with engineers and project managers to support system deployments and updates.
Perform system backups, disaster recovery planning, and routine maintenance tasks.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability.
Required Skills:
Active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
8+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator in a classified or secure environment.
Must possess appropriate and current DoD Information Assurance (IA) Certification to be considered for employment; CompTIA Security+ CE, Net App, Red Hat are the preferred certification.
Proven experience with cross-domain solutions (CDS) administration.
Expertise in cybersecurity principles, tools, and best practices.
Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing environments and supporting technologies.
Knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM) and secure system administration.
Relevant certifications are a must, such as CISSP , Security+ , or other vendor-specific certifications (e.g., MCSE, CCNA).
Experience working in an agile development environment .
Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
Preferred:
Knowledge of specific waveform protocols and their transport layers is highly desirable.
Hands-on experience with the operations, maintenance, and creation of cross-domain solutions (CDS).
Understanding of Zero Trust principles and segmentation in classified environments.
Familiarity with DevSecOps, software-defined networking (SDN), or IC cloud environments (C2S, SC2S).

The likely salary range for this position is $103,700 - $140,300. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
