Position Purpose
The Electrical Engineering Manager leads a team of Electrical Engineers through the design process, and provides fabrication, testing, and site support across projects. The Manager provides senior level engineering knowledge to their team. There are essential duties in delegation of work, technical leadership, work planning, and coaching. The Manager must maintain knowledge of industry technology as well as a continued focus on developing leadership skills to build high performance teams. Managers must have a highly solution-based mentality with a positive approach to all challenges.
The Electrical Engineering team is responsible for electrical design and engineering on multiple projects spanning all project phases. An Electrical Engineer's involvement in a project will generally begin with system design and continue with other activities throughout manufacturing (such as UL508A activities), shop testing, and site support. The Manager is responsible for project oversight and actively managing their team across all assigned projects.
Essential Responsibilities / Accountabilities
Works with Controls Engineering team to identify architecture and key controls technologies to meet project needs.
Delegates project tasks and deliverables among team members.
Collaborated with cross-functional teams to ensure that systems meet performance, electrical compliance, and safety requirements according to best practices.
Conducts design reviews to ensure quality.
Promotes and contributes to internal standards and processes.
Coaches team members on engineering skills to develop a strong team.
Provides career development feedback regularly to team members.
Shares knowledge readily among team members at all levels, and onboards new hires.
Champions company and departmental initiatives enthusiastically.
Demonstrates Mindful Leadership and encourages high-performance teams.
Communicates and coordinates schedules and assignments with project managers and department head.
Manages team workload proactively, with understanding of project resourcing forecasts and collaboration with other team managers.
Understands and follows TAIT project processes.
Assists in project bidding activities, including technical proposals and estimates.
Identifies procedural and technical roadblocks and coordinates solutions.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical Theater, or equivalent experience.
7+ years of experience in a related field (Engineering, Controls Systems, Technical Theater).
2+ years of leadership experience, either in management role, or other assignments such as project lead.
Experience deploying control systems in a variety of entertainment markets and applications.
Good knowledge of electrical standards, including UL 508A, NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, UL 508, IEC 62368-1. UL 508A MTR certification preferred.
Familiarity with Beckhoff, Siemens, and Allen Bradley hardware.
Knowledge of TAIT Navigator architecture and stock products.
Keenly aware of commercial aspects of projects.
Expected Travel: 10%. Must be able to acquire passport for international travel.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
