The Supplier Quality & Development Organization is
responsible for securing the best performing supply base in quality,
reliability, and safety! In this role you will be directly supporting the
Project Entity Grid Technologies business by qualifying, monitoring, and
developing electrical system suppliers globally!
How You'll Make an Impact
Supportand lead multi-functional teams by assessing supplier capabilities,auditing supplier quality management systems/processes, and implementingProduct and Process Qualification (PPQ) on electrical parts in line withapplicable process descriptions and standards. Includes planning,tracking, and reporting achievements, managing budget/resource needs,supporting supplier quality assurance, and approving processes viaManufacturing Quality Control Plans.
Performsupplier oversight and product inspections during project execution toensure compliance with specifications. Inspection @types include visual,dimensional, weld, coating, traceability, quality records review, andFunctional Acceptance Testing (FAT) such as transformer routine/@typetests, MCC production/@type tests, and other electrical equipmentverifications.
ManageNonconformance by identifying and initiating containment actions,coordinating corrective measures, and verifying preventive actions toensure timely resolution and recurrence prevention.
DriveSupplier Development by evaluating performance, analyzing quality data,implementing improvement programs, conducting root cause analysis, anddefining appropriate risk mitigation measures.
CoordinateControlling and Reporting by generating regular supplier quali@typerformance reports, supervising improvement actions, and assistingcommodity strategic buyers with procurement strategies and projectplanning.
Maintainand manage Supplier Quality Management tools and databases to ensureaccuracy, transparency, and accessibility. Typical supplier equipmentincludes MCC, switchgear, switchboards, panel boards, UPS, transformers,disconnect switches, heat exchangers, batteries & charging systems,cables, switchyard steel, bus duct, and piping.
What You Bring
Youhave a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience or higher in electricalengineering or a similar field. An equivalent combination of education,training, and experience will be considered.
Atleast 10 years preferred professional experience in supplier qualitymanagement, quality management, or engineering in the Power Generation orPower Transmission Industry. Position Class can be adjusted based on thecandidate's experience and qualifications.
Provenexpertise in supplier evaluation, qualification, technical development,and auditing (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001), ensuring a global,quality-assured, and efficient supply base; skilled in developinginternational suppliers, particularly in Global Value Sourcing countries.
Strongtechnical background in HV, MV, and LV electrical systems/components, withextensive knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and UL standards.
Accomplishedproject leader experienced in managing virtual, multi-functional,international teams; recognized for strategic, analytical, andintercultural skills; willing to travel domestically/internationally up to40%.
