Summary You will serve as a ENGINEER in the Range Systems Engineering Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV. Responsibilities You will perform as the RS20 Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the field of project management within the Range Systems Engineering Department. You will ensure project teams are formed and focused on all aspects of NCTE and LVC integrating architecture to include research and development, design, delivery, integration, and in-service engineering support. You will perform as the lead systems integration agent for RS20. You will support United States Fleet Forces (USFF), Pacific Fleet (PACFLEET), and Commander, Naval Air Pacific (CNAP) in support of LVC systems delivery, integration, and sustainment into the NCTE enterprise. You will support the Air Force Combat Command in support of systems delivery and integration into the LMON. You will lead and assigns all systems engineering efforts for division project teams ensuring they function effectively and efficiently throughout the RS20 design-build-deliver-operate-maintain processes. You will review and monitor engineering project status, coordinating with NCTE leadership on technical, schedule and resource risks and issues. You will perform as the SME technical and administrative consultant, responsible for translating customer needs into technical requirements and forming necessary project teams. You will provide standardization and consolidation of training systems engineering products and processes throughout the division, and where applicable, throughout the RS Department. You will establish and control technical milestones, schedules, budgets and costs to ensure project success. You will provide critical oversight at all stages of project execution including concept development, requirements refinement, system design, installation and integration, acceptance testing, and system sustainment. You will mentor members of the project management functional area, empowering them to become future engineering leaders. You will establish and facilitate effective, collaborative communication ensuring continuous improvement in technical processes. You will serve as a bridge across the functions of the organization to advance the larger purpose and vision of the Navy Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Corona. You will develop and achieve the Command Strategic Plan's technical capability in LVC Training systems engineering and within the overall Command Strategic Plan. You will design field infrastructure in support of RS systems and supported programs within the accepted policies and processes of NSWC, Corona. You will collaborate and participates on working groups with program managers, government activities, the Fleet and industry to provide broad-reaching technical direction regarding LVC Training Systems in support of Navy and Marine Corps programs. You will prepare technical papers, standard operating procedures, and presents material at commercial and military conferences and meetings.
