Apply today!Job DetailsSummary: Cencora is seeking a technically exceptional and operationally experienced Senior Director of Counter Adversary Operations to lead a multidisciplinary program focused on proactively identifying, tracking, and disrupting adversary activity targeting our global enterprise.This role will oversee threat intelligence, red team operations, threat hunting, and cyber countermeasures, ensuring intelligence is not only collected but acted upon. The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise, creativity, and leadership to unite teams against advanced threat actors.Responsibilities:- Oversee global threat intelligence collection, analysis, and dissemination, ensuring actionable intelligence is integrated in Cencora's detection and defense strategy.- Direct relationships with intelligence vendors, government partners, and ISACs.- Lead red team operations to emulate advanced threat actor tradecraft, test defenses, and identify control gaps.- Oversee purple team engagements to improve SOC and IR capabilities through collaborative testing.- Direct proactive hunts across our global environment using threat intelligence, behavioral analytics, and hypothesis-driven methodologies.- Develop and deploy targeted cyber countermeasures to proactively block or disrupt adversary operations.- Build and maintain detailed profiles of priority threat actors, tracking campaigns over time and aligning defenses to evolving TTPs- Sets goals/KPIs, creates budget and manages the overall performance of the CAO teamEducation:- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology or any other related discipline or equivalent related experience.Preferred Certifications:- GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence (GCTI)certification- OSCP - Offensive Security Certified Professional- GCIH (GIAC - Certified Incident Handler)- GREM (GIAC - Reverse Engineering Malware)- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)- Certification in Information Security Strategy Management (CISM)Experience:- 12 or more years of directly-related or relevant experience with 8 or more years in a managerial capacity, preferably in information security.Behavioral Skills:- Coaching and Mentoring- Creativity & Innovation- Decision Making- Leadership Skills- People Management- Planning- Risk-takingTechnical Skills:- IT Risk Management- IT Controls- Cyber Attack Mitigation- Enterprise IT Management- Network Security- Service Level Maintenance- Information Security Strategy Continuity- Threat Modelling- Information Security Strategy Standards (SOX, ISO 27001/27002, COBIT, ITIL, NIST, PCI)Tools Knowledge:- Microsoft Office Suite- Security Tools - SIEM, EDR, Email Security Gateway, SOAR, Firewall, Anti-virus, Firewalls, VPN IDS/IPS, AV, proxies, etc.- Security Testing Tools - Open Source and COTS security tools- Threat Intelligence Tools- Vulnerability Testing ToolsWhat Cencora offersWe provide compensation, benefits, and resources that enable a highly inclusive culture and support our team members' ability to live with purpose every day.
