Job Description:
The Operations Manager's primary function is working within Special Access Programs (SAPs) supporting Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, such as HQ Air Force, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) and Military Departments efforts. The position will work closely with the customer's IT leadership representatives and the contractor IT workforce to provide business operations support across the program.
Performance Shall Include:
Leads execution of business operations across a large, diverse, and geographically dispersed workforce and customer base to ensure program objectives are met.?
Oversees and leads resource management and facilitates retention initiatives.?
Key stakeholder for quality management, risk management, and special projects for the contract.?
Identifies and implements operations improvements based on ITIL 4, PMBOK, and/or industry best practices to meet established objectives across the entire operational footprint.?
Implements common processes across program to streamline operations and gain efficiencies?
Assists in managing activities related to customer requirements, budget, human resource needs and plans for new business development within assigned area.?
Facilitates strong relationships with mission customers to ensure customer satisfaction while ensuring adherence to policies and processes.?
Uses critical thinking and creative problem solving to identify matters of significance, recommend courses of action, and implement appropriate solutions.?
Implements complex core business processes and assists in process improvement initiatives to enhance customer service.?
Assists with managing operational risk and lessons learned across program.?
Manages workforce to include hiring, training, and evaluating employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product. Addresses performance issues and motivates and rewards employees.?
Collaborates with GDIT support functions, such as finance, contracts, security, HR, IHR, talent acquisition, subcontracts, marketing, and security to streamline processes and achieve contract and organization goals?
Experience:
5+ years experience in Program Operations Management
Demonstrated strong leadership and communication skills.?
Experience managing cross-functional teams across the full spectrum of IT skillsets?
Must be comfortable presenting to senior executives and VIPs.?
Demonstrated strong problem solving and team building skills.?
Must possess a mission-focused mindset that thrives on delivering positive outcomes and takes pride in accomplishing goals on time and within budget.?
Must operate with transparency across corporate and customer contacts.?
Experience using dashboards and reporting tools to deliver meaningful operations and performance data to internal and external stakeholders.?
Experience implementing ITIL and PMBOK methodologies and industry best practices across large, diverse teams to streamline and improve IT operations.?
Education:
Bachelor's degree OR Associate's degree in a related area + 2 years' experience OR equivalent experience (4 years)
Certification Requirements:
Program Management Professional (PMP) within 12 months of hire
Desired: IT or agile project management certification (e.g., ITIL Foundation; Scaled Agile Framework, Security+)?
Clearance:
TS/SCI required
Must be able to Attain - TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
Travel: up to 10%
The likely salary range for this position is $139,984 - $173,075. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
