Job Description Summary:
The Vice President, IT Data, Analytics and AI at Breakthru Beverage is responsible for leading the development and implementation of AI and machine learning strategies that align with the company's long-term goals. This strategic role involves partnering with various business functions, including Security, Markets, Sales, Operations, Finance, Communications, and the Executive Team, to translate IT capabilities into strategic business outcomes. The position requires defining the vision and roadmap for AI initiatives, advocating for responsible AI usage, and establishing frameworks for fairness and accountability. Additionally, the VP will oversee the design and deployment of data solutions, manage team resources, and drive innovation in emerging AI technologies, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives and successful delivery of projects.

Job Responsibilities:
Strategic Vision & Leadership
Define and execute a forward-looking data, analytics, and AI strategy aligned with BBG's business goals and transformation roadmap.
Drive innovation in areas like generative AI, natural language processing, and advanced analytics to future-proof the enterprise.
Advocate for responsible AI usage and establish frameworks that ensure fairness, transparency, and accountability.
Lead the rationalization and modernization of BBG's data ecosystem-including platform consolidation and cloud migration.
Development & Deployment of Scalable Solutions
Oversee the design, development, and deployment of cloud-native data platforms and AI/ML solutions that enable real-time analytics and enterprise-wide integration.
Translate foundational research into high-performing, efficient, and scalable AI systems across domains such as sales forecasting, personalization, and supply chain optimization.
Lead the adoption of best practices for AI model lifecycle management, including performance monitoring, retraining, and compliance.
Operational Excellence & Resource Management
Manage budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure on-time, high-impact delivery of data and AI initiatives.
Implement enterprise-grade data quality and observability frameworks to ensure system health, uptime, and trust in data-driven outputs.
Anticipate and mitigate operational and technology risks across ongoing data and AI programs.
Cross-Functional Partnership
Collaborate with senior leaders across Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, Communications, and other functions to ensure alignment and business value realization.
Present complex insights and strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders, including board-level reporting.
Serve as a thought partner in reimagining customer, supplier, and associate journeys through insight-led innovation.
Governance, Ethics & Risk Management
Establish pragmatic, business-aligned data governance frameworks to ensure quality, compliance, and security.
Proactively address risks related to data privacy, AI bias, model fairness, and ethical deployment.
Define KPIs to measure the impact of AI/ML solutions on business outcomes.
Culture & Talent Development
Attract, develop, and lead a high-performing team of data scientists, engineers, architects, and analysts.
Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
Champion data literacy, democratized analytics, and insight-driven decision-making across the enterprise.
Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder's supervisor, may also be required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field
15+ years of progressive leadership experience in data and analytics, including 10+ years in executive roles driving enterprise-scale initiatives.
Deep expertise in designing and scaling cloud-native data platforms, with a strong technical foundation in data architecture, engineering, lakehouse design, ELT/ETL pipelines, orchestration frameworks, data lakes, data warehousing, business intelligence, and MLOps - enabling advanced analytics, AI/ML, and petabyte-scale data processing.
Extensive experience designing and implementing practical, actionable enterprise data governance programs, including hub-and-spoke (data mesh) models that balance federated domain ownership with centralized policies, standards, and oversight.
Demonstrated success in transforming complex, fragmented data environments - leading cloud migrations, tool consolidation, and architecture modernization.
Experience implementing and scaling Customer Data Platforms (CDP) to unify customer insights and enable personalization and marketing effectiveness.
Experience leading Master Data Management (MDM) programs to ensure consistency across product, customer, and vendor domains.
A proven track record of building and scaling diverse, high-performing data teams with a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and innovation.
Industry experience in CPG, distribution, or other supply chain-intensive environments is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Master's degree or Ph.D. in computer science, data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or a related field is commonly required.
