Description We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Dorchester, Massachusetts. This is a long-term contract position within the healthcare industry, offering an excellent opportunity for professionals experienced in financial operations and reporting. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing accounting processes and ensuring accuracy in financial records.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and oversee month-end close procedures, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Maintain and update general ledger accounts, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with accounting standards.
Create and post journal entries to support financial reporting and operational processes.
Conduct detailed account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data.
Perform bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between company records and financial institution statements.
Analyze and resolve discrepancies in financial records to maintain data integrity.
Collaborate with other departments to support audits and compliance requirements.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
Develop and implement accounting best practices to streamline processes. Requirements - Proven experience in month-end close procedures and financial reporting.
Strong knowledge of general ledger management and accounting principles.
Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries.
Expertise in account reconciliation processes.
Familiarity with bank reconciliation practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
