Software Engineer - Mid-Level

Contract-to-Hire Opportunity

This is a contract-to-hire role based in sunny San Diego, CA, offering the chance to work on innovative applications that support real-world manufacturing operations.

What You'll Bring:

We're seeking someone with solid experience in object-oriented programming and a strong grasp of modern software development practices. If you enjoy working across the stack, integrating systems, and solving complex problems, this role is for you.

Must-Have Skills:

Proficiency in Java or C# (You will be working with both languages)

Experience with RESTful Web Services

Hands-on knowledge of API integration and inter-system communication

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Full-stack development experience with JavaScript, ReactJS, and Node.js

Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred)

Familiarity with microservice architecture

What You'll Be Doing:

Design, develop, and maintain web and mobile applications integrated with ERP systems

Collaborate with internal and external development teams throughout the SDLC

Analyze user needs and translate them into system enhancements

Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for enterprise applications

Build and maintain interfaces (API, EDI, EAI) for seamless data exchange

Coordinate with third-party vendors and systems to ensure smooth integration

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience

2+ years of experience in web application development

Familiarity with Agile (SCRUM) and Test-Driven Development (TDD)

Strong communication and time management skills

Willingness to travel occasionally

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $53.13/hr.
