Job Description
HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Deputy Program Manager, Operations Lead to support the Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) Second Island Chain Support program onsite at Andersen AFB, Guam. The Deputy Program Manager will work directly for the Program Manager in supporting all operations, activities and programs, and assists the Program Manager in ensuring the delivery of an effective management program supporting PACAFs Second Island Chain Support Program. The Deputy Program Manager has significant relevance in the management of the Program Management Office (PMO). This is contingent upon contract award.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Responsible for the tracking and completion of mission requirements as they are derived from government instructions.
Responsible for technical/operational leadership for mission support within the programmatic guidelines set by the program manager and government customer; provides leadership for both direct reports and team members working for the individuals' direct reports.
Oversees milestones and monitors adherence to program compliance. Implements processes and procedures to resolve issues and concerns to fulfill mission objectives.
Ensures all contract data requirements list (CDRLs) deliverables are met and within the prescribed timeline.
Liaises with the government representatives as required on any outstanding matter or concern needing government attention and as directed.
Familiar with mission events and ensure comprehensive resource support for all phases of the event life cycle including maintenance and material support.
Oversee travel process and ensures it meets appropriate guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications
8 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 6 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 years relevant progressive experience.
Customer requirements: Master's degree and 8+ years of training or military range experience, or Bachelor's degree and 10 years work experience of training or military range experience. In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted for applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.
Must currently hold and be able to maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance, with the ability to upgrade to a U.S. Top Secret security clearance if required.
Must possess a valid U.S. Passport.
Must be able to travel (O/CONUS) up to 50%.
Preferred Requirements
Prior military service leadership level highly desired.
Accustomed to supporting events associated with U.S. Air Force range operations is desirable.
