Job Summary:
This position develops sales territory by maintaining relationships with current members/customers and bringing in new ones . As an ambassador of Valley Cooperative Association (VCA), the role serves as a trusted face to both members and customers through the application of company fundamentals and business approach. The role leverages strong interpersonal, relationship building skills to deliver both strategic and specific service and support to customers, which includes coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Lead Generation and Sales Qualification
Assess and manage the sales funnel to identify opportunities, present quotes, and forecast results, ensuring accurate planning and consistent sales attainment that supports business growth.
Identify and forecast sales opportunities to prioritize efforts, optimize resource allocation, and achieve targeted revenue goals within the assigned market.
Present accurate quotes to customers to build trust, address needs, and close sales that contribute to overall performance targets.
Understand and promote VCA programs to provide valuable solutions, differentiate our offerings, and strengthen customer loyalty while driving market share growth
Develop and maintain a proactive calendar aligning customer touch and company needs, focusing on actions that drive relationships, efficiency, and goal achievement.
Communicate the value and benefits of Valley Cooperative Association to educate and engage customers, build lasting trust, and drive growth through stronger relationships and increased loyalty.
Identify prospects while continuing to refine and build existing target customer list, focusing sales efforts effectively, maximize opportunities, and deliver targeted market growth.
Relationship Building Through Collaborative Selling
Builds and maintains relationships with target and assigned customers through sales calls, events, and prospecting that fosters trust, strengthens partnerships, and drives sustainability.
Take actions resulting in the achievement of sales metrics within an assigned market by driving revenue growth and expanding market presence.
Maintains regular communication with current/potential customers by promoting products and services and strengthening relationships, meet needs, and grow the assigned target market.
Develop and maintain a proactive calendar that meets customer and company needs, focusing actions to meet established goals.
Collaborate with customers to forecast their inventory needs and adjust stock levels accordingly by communicating inventory changes through the proper channels.
Maintain clean, organized, and up-to-date CRM records for all leads and customers to improve efficiency, enhance communication, and support long-term relationship building.
Sales Process
Accurately uses sales tools to timely record customer information, sales activities, and required data, providing insights that enable decision-making and consistent sales strategies.
Complete and update scheduled and ad hoc documentation to maintain accuracy and information needed for timely follow-up on leads and customers.
Uses the company's CRM to document sales activity and provide visibility, progress, and alignment with customer expectations.
Monitor shipments and inventory levels of customer products to ensure timely delivery, prevent shortages, and maintain customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Professionalism and Pride
Understands and applies VCA policies and procedures supporting compliance, operational consistency, that maintains a safe, professional, and high-quality work environment.
Collaborate with internal departments and stakeholders to maximize efficiencies, streamline processes, and shorten the sales funnel for faster, more effective sales outcomes.
Prepare scheduled and ad hoc reports on insights and results that support informed decision-making that drives continuous improvement.
Actively participate in VCA training sessions to stay informed on current guidelines and protocols, ensuring compliance and enhancing job performance for consistent, high-quality results.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent driving, standing and walking
Occasional bending, lifting, pushing/pulling, reaching and twisting.
Rare climbing, crouching/squatting, and kneeling.
Minimum Requirements: The minimum qualifications required for this position include a combination of relevant education, experience, and skills necessary to perform the essential duties and responsibilities effectively.
Bachelor's degree with Business/Marketing emphasis preferred.
3-5 years of service or product sales experience.
Experience with consultative account management.
Experience in customer experience improvement.
Experience collaborating with sales teams to support customer relationships and drive revenue growth.
Handling customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and managing problem resolution.
Working cross-functionally with internal departments to maintain workflows and solve operational challenges
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Sales Achievement: Drive revenue growth and expand market presence by meeting or exceeding sales metrics.
Inventory Collaboration: Work closely with customers to forecast inventory needs and communicate adjustments effectively.
CRM Maintenance: Keep CRM records accurate, organized, and up to date to support relationship building and communication.
Goal-Focused Scheduling: Develop and maintain calendars that align with customer and company goals to ensure consistent engagement.
Data Accuracy and Reporting: Utilize sales tools and CRM to accurately document sales activities, customer data, and reports for decision-making and follow-up.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with at least two (2) internal departments to enhance efficiencies and shorten the sales cycle annually.
