JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Director of Operations is a key member of the US & Canada Continent Lodging Services team. This position provides operational leadership and consultation for all lodging brands within scope and acts as a business partner to Area General Managers, Market/Regional Vice Presidents, Property Leadership (GMs, Dept. Leaders), and other Continent team partners. This resource will leverage and collaborate with discipline functions to maximize guest satisfaction and deliver balance scorecard results. Primary responsibilities include driving Operational Excellence and leading the execution efforts of brand, region, and discipline priorities.

Education and Experience
Required
4-year Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel Management, or related field or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge can be gained.
10+ years of progressively responsible work experience in hotel industry leading operations disciplines
Experience in hotel operations in areas related to all food and beverage operations, event management, rooms operations, creating Standard Operating Procedures and P&L budgeting
Preferred
Demonstrated strong project management skills and ability to independently manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
Track record of putting in place strong systems and processed to effectively implement and execute multiple programs.
Ability to assess stakeholder needs, creatively approach solutions, and decide and influence appropriate courses of action
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Provide strategic consultation and support to operations functions (Food & Beverage, Event Management, Spa, Retail, Golf, Rooms) to ensure alignment with brand priorities and optimize performance against balance scored goals, including revenue and guest service excellence.
Identify and assess business opportunities and risks by staying informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and economic factors, while sourcing and implementing best practices across the continent.
Collaborate with cross-geographical counterparts to address operational complexities, refine processes, and leverage shared opportunities for enhanced performance and organizational effectiveness.
Accountable for aligning Operations associates on the vision and mission of providing superior guest experiences in alignment with brand differentiators.
Strengthen competitive advantage by advocating and supporting sound business. Promote and influence market/property leadership for stimulating business opportunities, improving service, increasing profitability, and improving the guest experience.
Evaluate GSS, Financial results, and appropriate metrics to identify and manage business and financial risks. Drive accountability through collaboration with market leaders on correlating business results to trends, adoption of key initiatives, etc.
Partner with above property leaders to facilitate accountability process for underperforming (Red Zone) hotels, to include but not limited to ensuring minimal to no brand detractors.
Partner with Global Operations and regional teams to drive innovation, enhance brand differentiation, and streamline work processes for faster market responsiveness.
Establish effective communication channels across stakeholders to facilitate feedback from the market to relevant stakeholders and discipline partners.
Focus on evolving the on-property digital experience to improve guest interactions and service delivery.
Serve as the subject matter expert for continent hotel operations, ensuring adherence to brand standards and identifying opportunities for quality and financial improvements.
Analyze guestVoice, social media, and Event Satisfaction Survey (ESS) data to support enterprise-wide initiatives and enhance service execution.
Lead efforts to drive ancillary revenue across hotels by optimizing pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
Conduct property visits to assess performance, recommend actions, and ensure accountability for service quality and financial outcomes.
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
The salary range for this position is $141,600 to $257,300 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus and restricted stock units/stock grants.
Washington Applicants Only: Employees will accrue 0.04616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
