Role Overview:
The Registration Operations Coordinator position is located within the Registrations Department. In this role you will be responsible for resolving with escalated registration inquiries received from internal and external customers. Additionally you will respond to all phone calls, emails, letters, and other forms of correspondence received by the Registrations Department. The Program Coordinator monitors inquiries, as well as modifies agency resources such as procedural manuals and the Bureau's intranet and internet websites which reduces inquiry volume by ensuring appropriate information and resources are available for internal and external customers. The Program Coordinator assists the Registrations team with license plate programs, maintenance of the BMV operating system, vehicle and watercraft registration transaction business rules, and other related projects as assigned.
Salary Statement:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $42,900.00.
A Day in the Life:
The essential functions of this role are as follows:
Serves as point of contact for the Registrations Department
Identifies improvements to the agency's communication materials and procedural manuals
Assists with managing license plate programs and vendor operations
Assists with BMV's record system, policies and processes
Identifies registration transactions defects and improvements in the BMV records system
Assists with testing system and process changes prior to implementation
Manage toll dispute correspondence
Assists with agency initiatives and special projects
Assists with implementing new policy and procedures provide guidance during operational transitions

What You'll Need for Success:
You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment:
Considerable customer service experience.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, including an ability to resolve complex problems.

Ability to make decisions and meet tight deadlines.
Knowledge and understanding of the mission, policies and multiple functions and responsibilities of the Bureau.
Knowledge and understanding of the Bureau's title and registration programs.
Knowledge and understanding of and ability to apply the varied laws, rules and regulations as they relate to the titling and registration of vehicles and watercraft.
Knowledge and understanding of and ability to apply the varied laws, rules and regulations as they relate to the Bureau's obligation to collect and distribute excise taxes and fees.
Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:
This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.
