The Cloud Infra and Supply Execution (CISE) finance team is an exciting and fast-evolving finance team at the forefront of Microsoft's Cloud-first strategy.

The CISE finance team is responsible for supporting delivering cloud capacity at the right time, right place and right cost. We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager - Cloud & Artificial Intelligence (AI) Cost Management to support our central functions such as close, forecast, budgeting, long-range planning, and Capital expenditure approval process.

Responsibilities

The role requires a high degree of agility and skill in navigating multiple stakeholder requirements while enabling accelerated growth aspirations for the business in a highly competitive market environment. To be successful, the individual needs to be highly collaborative, self-motivated, and curious in learning.

Support monthly/quarterly processes around close, forecasting, budget, and long-range planning functions across CISE and orchestrate more broadly across the finance organization

Enhance the capital request processes to support our growing Cloud business

Partner with engineering leaders on capital investments

Be a cultural champion for inclusion, growth mindsets, and establish culture and norms that support consistent quality employee and partner experiences

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, finance, or related field

OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, finance, or related field

OR equivalent experience

2+ years experience in financial analysis and excel modeling.

2+ years experience in financial planning and analysis

Preferred Qualifications

Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience

OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience

OR equivalent experience.

1+ year(s) experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.

1+ year(s) work experience in matrix-based organization.

Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally across teams and at all levels.

Ability to navigate ambiguity and bring clarity to complex situations

Experience in process improvement / optimization is preferred

Experience with data centers and/or supply chain preferred

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
