Description

We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Dalton, Georgia. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll operations, collaborating with front-line leaders, and maintaining compliance with payroll regulations. This position offers an opportunity to develop your technical expertise while supporting a dynamic workforce.

Responsibilities:

Manage time and attendance data within the Workforce system to ensure payroll accuracy.

Collaborate with front-line leaders to address payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies.

Utilize Microsoft Excel to perform data analysis.

Ensure compliance with payroll regulations, including garnishments and state-specific overtime laws.

Assist with the implementation and adaptation to new payroll technologies and processes.

Maintain detailed and organized payroll records, including employee timesheets and pay codes.

Provide support for payroll-related reporting and analysis as needed.

Communicate effectively with various departments to streamline payroll operations.

Requirements

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting functions. Strong Excel skills.

Knowledge of payroll terminology and pay codes, with an understanding of compliance regulations such as overtime and garnishments.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and leadership effectively.
