Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Fletcher, North Carolina. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in corporate tax, sales tax, and general accounting practices. Responsibilities:

Prepare and review corporate tax returns with accuracy and compliance.

Manage sales tax filings and ensure timely submissions.

Record and reconcile journal entries to maintain financial integrity.

Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly documented.

Analyze financial data to provide insights and support decision-making.

Assist with audits and ensure adherence to accounting standards.

Collaborate with other departments to address accounting-related inquiries.

Monitor and update financial records to stay aligned with company policies.

Support month-end and year-end closing processes. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

Proficiency in corporate tax and sales tax processes.

Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger management.

Ability to prepare and analyze financial reports with attention to detail.

Familiarity with accounting software and tools.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Strong communication skills for effective collaboration.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
