Job Description:

Join our dynamic team at JARA HOTELS LLC, where culinary excellence meets exceptional service. We are looking for talented and dedicated individuals to join our kitchen staff as Cooks in our renowned restaurant. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for the culinary arts, an eye for detail, and a commitment to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Food Preparation: Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to the restaurants menu specifications, ensuring consistent taste, presentation, and portion control.

Menu Contribution: Collaborate with the head chef and kitchen team to develop new recipes and contribute to menu planning, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative cooking techniques.

Quality Assurance: Maintain the highest standards of food quality, safety, and sanitation. Adhere to all health and safety regulations and ensure proper handling of food products.

Inventory Management: Assist in managing kitchen inventory, including the ordering and rotation of supplies. Monitor food stock to ensure freshness and minimize waste.

Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the kitchen. Ensure all cooking equipment, utensils, and workstations are regularly cleaned and maintained.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff and front-of-house personnel to ensure efficient service and a seamless guest experience. Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.

Adaptability: Be prepared to adjust to varying levels of business and changes in menu or kitchen operations, demonstrating flexibility and resourcefulness.

Customer Interaction: Occasionally interact with guests to understand their preferences and provide personalized dining experiences when needed.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting.

Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality dishes.

Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, and lift items up to 50 pounds.

Comfortable working in a kitchen environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
