The Position
Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
The Department of Veterans Services (NDVS) is seeking a Management Analyst 2 (MA2) for the Southern Nevada State Veterans Home (SNSVH), a 24-hour skilled nursing facility in Boulder City. This position serves as the primary fiscal support for the facility and reports to the Management Analyst 3 in Boulder City. The MA2 oversees accounting systems and procedures to ensure accurate documentation, audit trails, and fund balances, with duties including purchase requisitions, account reconciliation, resident trust account management, admissions fiscal packet review, and oversight of billing and accounts receivable. The position also develops and monitors the facility budget, prepares financial reports, coordinates vendor contracts with headquarters, supports audits and federal surveys, and manages supply chain, inventory control, purchasing, and property management functions, while supervising paraprofessional supply staff. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and two years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Special Requirements
This position requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
This position requires a State of Nevada/FBI fingerprint-based background check as a condition of appointment and as condition of continuing employment.
Additional Position Criteria
Pursuant to NRS and CDC guidelines, this position requires screening by the Department's Infection Control Office. Additionally, the influenza vaccination is a requirement of this position. Reasonable accommodation may be requested. Can you comply with this requirement?
Must receive a Tuberculosis (TB) skin test (PPD-Purified Protein Derivative) screening at the time of appointment and then every year after per NAC 441A.375.
You will receive a physical examination provided by Southern Nevada State Veterans Home (SNSVH) the at the time of appointment.
