Summary You will serve as an EQUIPMENT FACILITIES & SERVICES SPECIALIST in the Administrative Department of NAVENPVNTMEDU 2 NORFOLK. Responsibilities You will monitor procurement timelines and equipment shortfalls and excess to identify demand changes and patterns. You will be responsible for the organization, performance, and reporting of the command's property accountability program. You will maintain a comprehensive inventory of government owned or leased equipment including capitalized personal property. You will maintain complete and current records of non-expendable property in applicable systems. You will ensure proper documentation is prepared and coordinates with vendors for service repair of equipment. You will work with a variety of separate, distinct, but often inter-related logistics functions and external stakeholders. You will coordinate the movement of equipment and may train for use in pallet jack or forklift for movement of equipment. You will coordinate all facilities and major system maintenance support for the command. You will ensure contractors perform all work in a timely manner, and that they comply with all terms of contracts. You will monitor and coordinate the assessment of buildings and utilities, and ensures proper storage of equipment, materials, and chemicals within assigned buildings. You will enter all work orders/service calls into the NAVFAC MAXIMO online portal and tracks through completion of the service. You will recommend facility modifications and other solutions to maintain adequate security. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience being the single point of contact for facilities management and support within the command. Experience assessing maintenance programs, effectiveness and investigating a variety of unusual issues. Experience collaborating with outside entities with regards to building maintenance activities and keeping the chain of command abreast of current and ongoing issues with recommended solutions. Experience providing facilities Information technology, building security including installation, operations, management, and maintenance (troubleshooting) consistent with the mission, goals, and objectives of the unit's strategic plans. And experience applying facilities principles, methods, and practices to include management of in and outside building maintenance infrastructure.
