Job Title: Licensing Specialist

Job Description

The Licensing Specialist is responsible for analyzing state and local government laws and applying the requirements necessary for obtaining critical sales and operational licenses within designated regions. The role involves interacting with franchisees and corporate operations personnel to gather information for application completion and provide updates on licensing activities. Furthermore, the specialist will engage with state and local licensing officials to acquire relevant licensing information and maintain a comprehensive licensing database. Providing advice and counsel on the application of various licensing requirements to both current and proposed operations is also essential.

Responsibilities

Analyze laws of states and local governments to apply requirements for obtaining sales and operational licenses.

Interact with franchisees and corporate operations personnel to gather information for completing applications and provide updates on licensing activities.

Engage with state and local licensing officials to obtain relevant licensing information.

Maintain and oversee the assigned region's section of a comprehensive licensing database.

Provide advice and counsel on the application of licensing requirements to current and proposed operations.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in bank reconciliation, credit card transactions, and expense allocations.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Office.

Experience in accounting, auditing, and compliance.

Associate's degree preferred.

Experience in mortgage or licensing.

Strong reading and analytical skills.

Effective communication skills.

Extensive experience with database software programs.

Proven attention to detail and curiosity.

Work Environment

The work environment consists of a team of 50 people, divided into three regions with a manager overseeing each region. Team sizes vary based on the number of stores, with most teams comprising about 12 people. The location features a convenience store and offers growth opportunities within accounting, as well as cross-training across multiple business areas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
