Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field, with demonstrated academic or professional experience supporting companies in expanding into foreign markets.
Two years of experience in a business-related area (e.g., consultant to businesses, staff member within an economic development organization, international trade organization, manager, or proprietor of a business).
Bilingual in both English and Spanish.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and the use of Artificial Intelligence.
Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems (recordkeeping and filing).
Demonstrated problem-solving ability.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Technical Skills: Basic understanding of economics and market dynamics, supply chain management, communication, collaboration, adaptability, and interpersonal (soft) skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience with analytical and statistical tools for financial and market analysis.
Strong foundation in finance with the ability to secure capital and support Foreign Direct Investment ( FDI ) initiatives, including guiding businesses through international funding and expansion strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in business administration, finance, or economics.
Experience in trade and financial investment.
Experience or coursework in financial analysis.
Familiarity with data visualization tools.
Skilled in assessing and categorizing clients' financial potential.
Multicultural background and global mindset, with the ability to navigate various business environments and support internationally oriented clients.
Job Description
To provide support in delivering management, technical assistance, and information services to small businesses engaged in international business efforts. This includes assisting in the delivery of business training programs to improve business success. It also includes helping small businesses identify and access appropriate funding sources, such as international grants, loans, and investment opportunities, to open new locations abroad, expand their market reach, and navigate cross-border regulatory and financial requirements.
Job Duties

Assist in the execution of strategic and operational plans to maximize economic impact and achieve stakeholder goals.
Provide market research, advising, and technical assistance to small business clients, including those involved in Foreign Direct Investment ( FDI ), on basic business planning and structuring.
Assist FDI clients in developing operations by contributing to the creation of business plans with financial projections.
Assist businesses in identifying and securing access to capital-including loans, grants, and equity funding-to support expansion into international markets.
Support international financing initiatives for companies seeking to establish or expand business relationships in foreign markets.
Facilitate technical training on structuring and developing funding for foreign direct investment projects.
Follow standard operating procedures for advising and training services.
Perform technical financial analysis of client financial reports, including financial history and business modeling.
Assist in the creation of reports using data visualization tools.
Communicate findings to clients and provide support in developing recommendations.
Assist with compliance reporting of client activity.
Contribute to the documentation of functional requirements for operational, systems, and technical logistics information architecture.
