Description:
You will be the Manufacturing Engineering Associate Manager for the Precision Fires Manufacturing Engineering team. Our team is responsible for supporting one of the Precision Fires Programs by operating in an "above the shop floor" capacity, focused on being an effective manufacturing liaison between the program office, internal production sites, and external suppliers.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Manufacturing Engineering Associate Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of manufacturing engineers and driving collaboration and partnership between the program team and manufacturing sites to optimize program production and meet customer commitments. You will also influence design producibility, transition new or revised designs from development into production, and develop proposal estimates.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance
Bachelor's degree in engineering
Manufacturing Engineering Experience
Prior experience in a leadership capacity
Ability to lead cross functional teams
Ability to liaison between LM Subcontractors, internal disciplines, and Production Operations
Ability to build positive relationships with customers
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex
Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
Ability to travel domestic and/or international up to 25%
Desired Skills:
Demonstrated competency in Computer Aided Design (CAD) software
Proposals / estimating and Earned Value Management
System Cost Account Manager experience
Experience with leading teams
Experience working with Government customers
Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) (ex. Windchill)
Knowledge of the SAP MRP production control system
Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical people
Experience developing training & Upskilling plans for a team
Demonstrated effective communication skills including verbal, listening, technical writing and presentations
Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including team building, collaboration and developing enduring business relationships
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
