Summary You will serve as an ELECTRONICS MECHANIC in the Weapons Repair Department Code 700 of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Responsibilities You will maintain moderate complex systems that have frequent engineering changes such as design, construction, operating and servicing procedures. You will use and assist others in the use of various advanced automated electronic test equipment and specialized test equipment. You will research plans, drawings, sketches, technical manuals, factory specifications, and other publications to assure that equipment meets operational specifications. You will troubleshoot, install, repair malfunctions in complex electronic systems where circuit theory must be used to understand the operation of individual circuits, and the possible interaction of other circuits which create a malfunction. You will use mathematics including algebra, binary mathematics and basic trigonometric functions in order to adapt standard formulas to the specific requirements of the integrated system. You will review safety concerns prior to job assignments being issued and conduct pre-job/interactive briefs with shop personnel.
