Summary You will serve as an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the Communications Directorate (N6) of NAVAL OCEAN PROCESS FACILITY DAM NECK. Responsibilities You will serve as an Information Technology Specialist (IT), performing a wide variety of detailed tasks required to maintain systems administration, cybersecurity, network development, and lifecycle management. You will support the command Information System Security Manager in their role as the focal point and principal advisor on all matters relating to the security and integrity of Information Systems, networks, resources, and the data they produce You will maintain up-to-date knowledge of Information Assurance (IA) policies and procedures. You will assist in complying, assessing and reporting applicable security measures for recordable media. You will submit to ISSM and maintain Technology and Risk Management Framework documentation for assessment and authorization. You will ensure maximum exchange of information related to hardware, software and Information Systems are provided to the ISSM. You will ensure compliance with all security patches, Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts, and Information Assurance Vulnerability Management, and report results to the ISSM for review. You will provide and coordinate IA security oversight. You will ensure assigned networks and information systems are properly configured. You will Implement and track cybersecurity training requirements per Department of the Navy, Department of Defense, and other directives. You will manage and direct maintenance of the implementation of approved communications installation projects, direct the testing, evaluation, and acceptance phases of communications equipment installations. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: system administrator analyzing assignments to identify potential problem areas related to Information Systems and assigned networks, to ensure they are operating within established security guidelines or policy in support of the Integrated Undersea Surveillance System (IUSS) mission. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Completing all tasks associated with the role including the review, backup and archiving of the Client Host Platform audit data, Advance Key Processor (AKP) audit data, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) audit data, review and archive the audit logs prior to their deletion and support all Integrated Undersea Surveillance System and inform management at every step by developing progress reports, identifying risk/issues, offering solutions and provide resolution status. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Providing COMSEC, technical troubleshooting. installation, and training support to the Operations Support Center while managing a variety of major telecommunications systems, programs and projects related to providing rapid, secure, and reliable communications. 3.
