Summary This position is located in Defense Information Systems Agency, JSO/J4 FACILITIES & LOGIST DIR Responsibilities Performs a broad range of data analyses assignments entailing unique problems, creativity, innovative use of techniques, advance approaches and or new technology. Leads the development and documentation of operational concepts and strategies for assigned programs/projects. Develops and automates large scale, high-performance data processing systems and tools to improve data quality and volume, accelerate iteration cycles, and improve the ability to deliver superior enabled analytics capabilities for DISA. Participates in meetings, conferences, briefings, and seminars related to data analytics program planning, technologies, and support system concepts. Interfaces, collaborates and represents DISA with management, senior executives, DoD and other government and private industry representatives. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Basic Requirements: This position has a positive education requirement. To qualify for this position you must meet one of the basic requirements described below: A. Degree: Mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field directly related to the position. The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position. Transcripts are required. OR B. Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) as shown in paragraph A above, plus additional education or appropriate experience. In addition to the Basic Education Requirement, you must also meet the Specialized Experience requirement: For the GS-14, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-13 if outside the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Developing data models for evaluation, identification, collection, and analysis of all data used to support projects or programs; selecting the appropriate data collection techniques for program analysis from various sources; collecting and analyzing data and displaying data for analysis to draw conclusions. Time in Grade: For entry at the GS-14 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-13 or higher grade in the Federal Service. Qualification and time-in-grade requirements must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement. In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirements, qualified applicants must also possess the quality of experience as it relates to how closely or to what extent an applicant's background, recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position.
