Assembly Technician

Job Title: Assembly Technician / Assembler

Position Summary

The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling mechanical or electro-mechanical components and products according to specifications, blueprints, and work instructions. This role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble parts, components, or products using hand tools, power tools, and assembly fixtures.

Follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate builds.

Perform visual inspections and functional tests to verify product quality and conformance.

Identify and report defective materials or components.

Maintain accurate records of work performed, including production logs and quality documentation.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Assist in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements.

Qualifications

2+years of experience in mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly (preferred).

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.

Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and basic measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, rulers).

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification is a plus.

IPC 610 soldering cert and/or J standard is a bonus

Preferred Skills

Experience in a lean manufacturing or ISO-certified environment.

Familiarity with ESD-safe practices (for electronics assembly).

Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
