Body Shop Detailer/Lot Attendant

Casey Auto Group is actively seeking a full-time Detailer/Lot Attendant to join our Collision Center in Newport News! SUMMARY: The detailer/lot attendant is responsible for clean-up and detailing of automobiles repaired in the Collision Center. To ensure that repaired vehicles are delivered to the customer in clean condition, free of residue created from the repair. Daily priorities include valet, detailing, and cleaning in the shop. This is an entry-level position and has the potential for advancement to other roles. ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE: Washing exterior of vehicles using approved soap, water, and soft cloth. Cleaning interior vehicle surfaces including rugs, upholstery, dash, and removing loose dirt, dust and debris. Using only approved chemicals on vehicle surfaces and keeping all chemicals in approved and labeled containers. Cleaning vehicle windows, wheels and tires. Presenting vehicle for quality control inspection after detailing. Pick up and delivery to outside vendor locations. Using good judgement and safe driving skills. Assisting passengers getting in and out of vehicles. Operating a radio or similar device to communicate with dealership or other vehicles to report disruption of service. Cleaning the shuttle vehicle and notifying the body shop manager of any servicing that the vehicle may require. Cleaning display cases in the service drive as well as cleaning service desks and emptying trash. Other duties as assigned. PAY: Starts at $13.00 per hour. SCHEDULE: The schedule for this position will generally be Monday-Friday, but may require half days on Saturdays. QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Polite, professional, respectful, and willing to help customers in any way that you can. Experience as an automotive detailer or lot attendant are a plus.
