The Idaho Industrial Commission is currently recruiting a Rehabilitation Field Consultant for the Ponderay field office . This position provides a full range of return-to-work services for injured workers under the Idaho Workers' Compensation program. Key responsibilities include: interviewing/counseling injured workers, case management, communication/correspondence, job analysis/employer contact, labor market knowledge/job placement, customer service, and medical support.

Example of Duties:
Conduct interviews and counseling for injured workers to develop return-to-work plans
Drive to job sites within an assigned area to conduct detailed job analysis
Measure and describe the physical and environmental requirements of various occupations
Assess the employment handicap resulting from injuries or occupational diseases
Evaluate social, academic, industrial, and motivational factors affecting recovery
Arrange necessary assessments, job placements, or training services that may be required to expedite a return to work
Collaborate closely with employers, insurance companies, medical providers, attorneys, organized labor, and government/private agencies
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid driver's license.
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree majoring in a related field. Educational requirements may be substituted by pertinent work experience. Pertinent work experience is defined as responsible employment in a field where the applicant's major job function was similar to a major job function of the Field Consultant position.
