JOB TITLE: Lead Big Data Software Engineering

REMOTE TYPE: Office Worker

*Office Worker: In office position with work from home allowed, i.e. flex or hybrid worker

JOB LOCATION: 2900 W Plano Pkwy., Plano, TX 75075

DUTIES: Responsible for the development of high performance, distributed computing tasks using Big Data and Generative AI technologies such as Hadoop, NoSQL, text mining and other distributed environment technologies. Utilize Big Data programming languages and technology, write code, complete programming and documentation, and perform testing and debugging of applications. Analyze, design, program, debug, and modify software enhancements and/or new products used in distributed, large scale analytics, and visualization solutions. Interact with data scientists and industry experts to understand how data needs to be converted, loaded, and presented. Work in a highly agile environment. Utilize JVM-based function languages including Scala and Clojure. Utilize Hadoop query languages including Pig, Hive, Scalding, Cascalog, and PyCascading. Utilize HDFS-based computing frameworks including Spark and STORM. Utilize Oracle, Snowflake, and Databricks development environments. Utilize programming solutions using Generative AI solutions including Large Language Models and Small Language Models.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Scientific Computing, or Industrial Engineering and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation utilizing JVM-based function languages including Scala and Clojure; utilizing Hadoop query languages including Pig, Hive, Scalding, Cascalog, and PyCascading; utilizing HDFS-based computing frameworks including Spark and STORM; utilizing Oracle, Snowflake, and Databricks development environments; and utilizing programming solutions using Generative AI solutions including Large Language Models and Small Language Models.

Our Lead Big Data Software Engineering roles earn between $163,966 - $215,800 yearly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers.
