Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Matthews, North Carolina. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments, while maintaining organized financial records. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team and refine your skills in accounts payable and data entry.

Responsibilities:

Process and accurately enter vendor invoices into the accounting system.

Organize and file unpaid invoices in preparation for weekly check runs.

Assist with printing, coding, and preparing invoices for payment.

Support weekly check runs, ensuring all payments are completed on schedule.

Utilize the E2 accounting system to manage accounts payable tasks efficiently.

Handle data entry and account coding to maintain accurate financial records.

Collaborate with team members to streamline accounts payable processes.

Generate and manage reports using Excel, including basic formulas and document creation.

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to accounts payable.

Maintain clear communication with vendors and internal departments regarding invoice and payment inquiries. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role.

Proficiency in using accounting software, particularly E2 or equivalent systems.

Strong skills in Excel, including basic formulas and document creation.

Knowledge of account coding and invoice processing.

Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) procedures.

Ability to handle high-volume invoice processing with accuracy.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Effective communication skills for interaction with vendors and team members.
