Job Title: 1st Shift CNC Machinist

Job Description

The CNC Machinist will be responsible for programming and operating CNC machines to meet blueprint requirements, ensuring the manufacturing process of parts is precise and efficient. The role involves loading materials into CNC machines for shaping, inspecting fabricated parts for accuracy, and maintaining equipment cleanliness.

Responsibilities

Program CNC machines using Mastercam to meet part specifications with assistance from the lead CNC machinist.

Possess expertise in vertical 3, 4, and 5-axis machining.

Set up and operate CNC vertical machining centers.

Demonstrate working knowledge of G & M code programming.

Consistently lift materials up to 50 pounds for loading into CNC machines.

Gauge parts using calipers, micrometers, and other quality-approved devices to verify specifications.

Immediately notify the Supervisor of any deviations or changes in part specifications or safety issues.

Listen for sounds indicating machine malfunction and document production issues for effective communication.

Plan stock inventory by anticipating needs, placing orders, and verifying stock receipt.

Maintain a clean and orderly work area while adhering to safety protocols.

Essential Skills

2+ years of experience operating CNC machines.

1+ year of programming experience.

Knowledge of G & M code.

Familiarity with gauging equipment such as micrometers and calipers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Team player with strong communication skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Detail-oriented with a critical thinking mindset.

Capable of sustained concentration and physical effort.

Ability to stand for long periods and lift 50 pounds (with crane assistance available).

This is a Permanent position based out of Slinger, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $80000.00/yr.
