??This job is a member of the Flight Services Team within the Customer Experience Division.
?Responsible for ensuring that FAA and other government regulatory and company required training programs for Initial Flight Attendant trainees are effectively presented. Also responsible for overseeing the successful training of initial flight attendant trainees as well as supervise, evaluate and observe instructors while in the classroom.
What you'll do
Oversees the daily operations and success of the Initial Flight Attendant classes
Supervises a staff of special assignment instructors
Conducts presentations for initial training graduation ceremonies for 100+ attendees
Ensures understanding of job related information through observation of instructors
Conducts one on one performance discussions along with coaching and counseling of students and instructors
Performs administrative duties and prepares reports on activities and discussions
Oversees drills and performance based testing issues when necessary
Reviews flight attendant survey forms and handles any complaints or discrepancies
Partners with other training, support and operational departments to ensure consistency and accuracy of training content in a positive and professional manner
Promotes teamwork, follows proper business protocols, serves as a positive influence and is committed to achieving department and corporate goals and objectives
Maintains requisite knowledge in applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and publications, company policies and procedures, aircraft systems and onboard products and services
Maintains flight attendant crew qualification and regulatory certification
Performs any other duties or special projects as assigned by Senior Manager, Training Operations of Flight Service
Ability to work hours outside of the normal business day, weekends and holiday

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience/training
American Airlines Flight Attendant qualification
Knowledge of the current flight attendant collective bargaining agreement
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
?Previous instructor experience or thorough understanding of the instructor duties and responsibilities
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
?Strong organization skills with the ability to meet deadlines, work multiple projects, travel as needed to conduct meetings/presentations
Strong interpersonal skills with coach and counseling abilities
Excellent attendance and performance record
Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the supervision and development of special assignment instructors
Effective presentation skills, including the proven ability to transfer knowledge in an adult learning environment
Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision (independently and as a team member)
