UI Program Associate 1 (Admin Support 3)

The Georgia Department of Labor is currently seeking applications to fill the UI Program Associate 1 positions in the Board of Review Department at the Georgia Department of Labor Headquarters in downtown Atlanta.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The UI Program Associate 1 performs a variety of administrative support functions related to the disposition of contested UI adjudicated by the Board of Review (BOR) .

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES

Identifies and properly handles UI appeal requests.

Reviews, processes, and handles incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and other correspondences.

Handles requests for records and CDs.

Assists with the creation of files and ensures all files are up to date.

Ensures the BOR is up to date on the status of pending and assigned cases.

Provides assistance to external and internal customers about the unemployment insurance program, the appeals process and pending cases.

Answers telephone calls and responds to customer inquiries throughout the day.

Performs other duties as requested.

SKILLS/ABILITIES

Must possess excellent computer skills

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Possess the ability to multi-task in a high paced office environment

High school diploma or GED AND Four years of progressively complex office or administrative experience.
