The Raytheon team is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to support the AN/TPY-2 missile defense program. We align to the core Agile and DevSecOps principles of collaborative operation across the entire value stream, delivering high-frequency, high-quality deployments to our customers. This is a fulltime onsite position in Woburn Ma.
What You Will Do:
Work closely with the Chief Software Architect to design, implement, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines, shaping the future of software delivery.
Select, configure, and integrate tools to enhance software development flow, optimizing productivity and performance. Potential to administer selected tools.
Provide DevSecOps implementation expertise to assist the adoption of DevSecOps tools and best practices, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Design, develop, and test software based on software trouble reports in an agile, collaborative environment.
Participate in agile execution and continuous improvement.
Work collaboratively with systems and SI&T engineers to analyze, implement, and test system modification requests to the existing system baseline.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience.
Experience with software development, test, and/or integration using a modern language such as C, C++ or Ada
Experience with Script languages such as C shell, Perl and Python
Experience in software build deployments via Jenkins
Experience in containerization methodologies (e.g. Docker/Kubernetes) or Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Ansible, Terraform)
Experience debugging tools to identify and fix software bugs
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience on XBR, AN/TPY-2, COBRA DANE, QEWR, UEWR, SRP or other current missile defense programs
Experience working in Agile environments such as scrum, scrum at scale, SAFe and DevSecOps
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
Ability to coach and delegate work to lower-level professionals
Experience contributing to a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to complex technical problems
Experience with tools such as Atlassian Suite (e.g., Bitbucket/Artifactory, Confluence, Crucible, Fisheye, Jira), Jenkins, Eclipse, and Ansible
Experience working in a continuous integration/continuous development environment; experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of Redhat and Linux Operating Systems
Strong skills using debugging tools to quickly identify and fix software bugs, as well as optimize code for performance.
Strong collaboration and communication skills

We Are RTX
The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
