THE POSITION
The PA Liquor Control Board is seeking a highly motivated professional Accountant to join the PLCB team. As an Accountant 1, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate accounting of the agency's physical inventory for its 600+ Fine Wine and Good Spirits Stores. Do not delay, apply today!
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position works closely with operations, supply chain, delivery centers, and 3rd Party logistic providers to ensure accurate accounting of physical inventory. Inventory accounting ensures that not only does the inventory recorded on file matches the inventory on-hand, but more importantly it addresses assessing the correct value of the inventory.
Other duties include:
Reconciling inventory and variances for assigned stores to general ledger and reconciling inventory to physical inventories and cycle counts on weekly basis
Monitoring inventory transactions for all assigned stores
Monitoring variance reports for all inventory items and transactions
Requesting physical inventory counts of stores based upon various reports indicating unusual activity

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment 37.5 hours per week
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to four days per week, with one day per week in the Northwest Office Building in Harrisburg. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Five years of Bookkeeping experience and fifteen college credits in accounting ; or
A Bachelor's Degree including or supplemented by fifteen credits in accounting ;or
O ne year as a Fiscal Technician ( Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) , and fifteen college credits in accounting ; or
One year as a Financial Programs Trainee ( Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) ; or
Successful completion of the Commonwealth's Accounting Intern Program ( Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration).
Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
